In the high mountains of the Colombian Massif, Indigenous and peasant women from Pancitara challenge the multinational dairy companies that for years have dictated prices and market rules. United in hope, they create an association that allows them to sell their production directly, regain economic autonomy and dignity, and strengthen their community bonds. Boris Zozulya grew up in the city but moved to Nevezhkino, to the house left by his grandfather, and is now writing a chronicle of the village. His fellow villagers help Boris in his historical and spiritual quest. The bridge becomes a symbol of the connection between times and the hero's spiritual journey.

Anastasia wants to sell the house and gain her independence, but first she must discover how her dreams are connected to the history of the house and her family.

On the misty slopes of the Black Sea region, in a geography where time flows slowly, Ertan is a shepherd who lives together with his goats. His days are shaped by the rhythm of nature: heading to the mountains in the early morning, caring for the animals, and in the evenings dissolving into silence. Yet what sets Ertan apart from an ordinary shepherd is a quiet occupation: at night, he patiently turns the hair he shears from his goats into socks, stitch by stitch.
This documentary tells the story of Ertan, who embodies both shepherding—seen from the outside as “men’s work”—and a form of handcraft traditionally attributed to women, within the same body. The camera maintains a respectful distance from Ertan’s taciturn world; rather than explaining his life, it settles into it. Goats, mountains, domestic silence, and woolen threads become the film’s main narrators.
Throughout the film, Ertan’s sock knitting appears less as a profession and more as a ritual. This act is both a means of livelihood and a way of being. The process—from shearing the goats’ hair to transforming it into yarn and finally into socks—turns into a visual metaphor for the ancient relationship between humans and nature.
“Tracing the Goats” records, with a simple yet profound cinematic language, a way of life that resists the speed of modern existence, an understanding of labor that does not fit into gender roles, and a craft on the verge of disappearing. The film invites the viewer not to a loud, assertive narrative, but to listen to the whispers of nature, labor, and solitude

THE LAST PUESTERO is a short documentary that tells the story of Adonai, a gaucho -or Argentine cowboy- who spends most of his days alone in a remote Patagonian outpost, protecting cattle from poachers and pumas. While deeply proud of his work and the skills it demands, he struggles with the loneliness of being away from his wife and children in town. As he hopes his son will carry on the puestero tradition, he faces the painful reality that changing times may bring an end to this way of life.

After his father's death, a young man named Mitya loses interest in life. However, a chance encounter with a terminally ill driver of a mobile shop makes him see loss from a different perspective.

An unlucky Muscovite, Snezhana, comes to the village to bury her stepfather in order to inherit his house. She has no money for the funeral, so she decides to sell the cow.

A SHEPHERD’S JOY is a heart warming and inspiring Fictional Drama genre short film, set in the current times at the Matatiele villages (Kwamzongwana), it follows the life of a disheartened school dropout who becomes a herd boy. He faces a melancholy journey and overcomes his employer’s cruelty to achieve his dream of becoming a flock owner. When his father send him to a wealthy flock owner, Gcinikhaya’s laziness and negligence provokes his employer’s cruelty which sees him getting paid six barren awes as his annual salary. With the guidance of his father and his own determination, Gcinikhaya learns a solution for the barren awes and excels as a herd boy, using music and kindness to tend the cattle. His efforts earn him respect and fair treatment from his employer. He returns home with a decent payment and expands his flock, joining forces with his father to grow their family business.

Dmitry Myshkin is the artistic director of the Rural Drama and Comedy Theatre in Fomikha. He and his comrades ended up in this remote village near Vladimir quite by accident — but they wanted to stay. The secluded, far-from-civilization space captivated these theatrical innovators so deeply that they decided to turn it into a stage for their experiments. Here, a performance can last 24 hours and take place in the open air, or, conversely, be compactly concentrated within the confined space of a car. In Fomikha, everything — the field, the forest, the river one must cross to reach the theatre — becomes a theatrical set. And at the same time, thanks to nature, the performance becomes intimately woven into the fabric of reality.
But this place has become more than just a theatre. Hailing from different places, mostly small towns, the members of this extraordinary troupe found their home here. However, the path to it was not easy. The first village house they bought with their last theatre savings burned down. Yet even the fire did not break them. For a while, they lived and rehearsed in a yurt. Several years later, they built the house of their dreams — a theatre-house, as they call it, combining a stage, a living room, and living space under one roof.
And so, following our heroes, we say: "Welcome to Fomikha!" Together with them, we will follow the journey from preparation and rehearsals to the premiere of the play "Labyrinths of My Soul," where the creators, through memories, fantasies, and dreams, explore the question: what exactly is our soul?

Anastasia Rubleva is a young ethnographer from Siberia who popularizes traditional culture on her social media. She is currently going through a reassessment of her work. Simply twirling in a dress in front of the camera is no longer of interest to her. "What matters is the thought, not the cover," says the film's protagonist.
